Broken Tears Episode 5

I wana say Happy birthday to my dears Hassanat and Husainat Abidjan! I wish you girls all the best in life and thank you for letting me use your pictures as my story cover... *kisses* Yeah we start Episode 5 of Broken Tears today, and after that,we'll enter the 2nd half of the story.... I hope you're enjoying the story xoxo

Jamal yawned and rolled over on his bed, he'd been reading all night. This WAEC tension wasn't helping matters, he had to read and re-read! He thought of Saffiyah, he wondered what was happening with her. Ever since they resumed from the short break she'd been acting weird. And he'd been so busy with school work and all that he hadn't had time to really talk to her. He sighed and carried he's chemistry note, he rolled over and held the book above him,the moment he opened it, a folded piece of paper fell on his face. He picked it up and flipped it to the other side and immediately recognized the handwriting he saw, just one word ... "Jamal."

Aisha sat in the living room having juice and watching TV with her husband, the girls were in the room, reading for their exams. She was about to tell her husband a joke she heard on the radio earlier that day when Maryam walked in; "Mummy, I have a question about something that's been bugging me for a while." Aisha looked up at Maryam curiously, looked over at her husband and sighed, looking at Maryam again; "What is it dear?" Maryam continued with so much confidence; "I want to know why we can't marry any other tribe apart fr......" "Common shut your mouth!" Her mother cut in; "where is that coming from?  You should be studying for your exams and you're here questioning me about marriage at 15! Will you get inside now before I lose it!" Maryam shrugged and walked away. "Aisha! You shouldn't have done that now, that's unfair. If they can't talk to you about issues like this, who would they talk to? It is things like this that make children fall prey to little things they should know about." Aisha frowned; "they're too young to be thinking of such." Ahmad laughed; "how old were we when we got married? These children need us at this stage of their lives, so we have to be there for them, get up let's go to their room." He got up and stretched out his hand, she put her hand in his,got up and walked with him to the girls' room.

"I told you not to ask mum that question, now see!" Saffiyah chided Maryam. "Was that the reason why she scolded me like that? As if it was an abomination to ask. Who are we supposed to ask if not them? Mtchwww!" "Calm down Maryam, she was probably in a bad mood. You know how mum gets about issues like this." Just then, there was a knock on their door; "Can we come in?" Their father called out. "Yes daddy" they answered in unison. They came in and sat with the girls on the bed. "Maryam. I'm sorry for snapping at you like that when you came in, I shouldn't have. Forgive me?" "Okay mummy." Maryam answered. "Thank you. The question you asked is a big one but I'll answer it anyway. Marriage is a lifetime thing, once you're in, you're in for better or worse. We all have different cultures and traditions, and its better to stick to what you're used to. Before a child gets married, its the parent's duty to find out all the necessary things about the partner's family to know what they're going into and to decide if its a good idea or not. They'll have to know about the characters they have, what they do and don't do, the kind of diseases or illness common in that family among other things like epilepsy, convulsion, madness and things like that. In most cases like ours, parents insist on intra-state marriage to make it easier for us to find out the necessary things we need to, marrying from another state entirely would make it difficult or even impossible for the parents to do anything, and so most people get married and become unhappy for as long as the marriage lasts, and that's the cause of broken homes in some cases. There are many reasons but to your understanding, I picked out little to tell you. And I do hope you understand my darlings?" "Yes mum." It was Saffiyah who answered, Maryam just stared at their mum blankly; "So girls how is studying going." Their father's voice jolted Maryam back to reality; "Good! Studying is good. Thanks for telling us about this." She answered with a smile.

Saffiyah sat on her chair in class, revising her note before her first paper when a junior student walked towards her; "good morning senior Saffiyah, senior Jamal said he wants to see you." Her heart thumped. "Okay, tell him I'm coming soon." She closed her book and got up, she looked over at her sister who smiled and winked at her. Saffiyah rolled her eyes and left the class.

Jamal was a bit shaky, he couldn't believe what he had read in that letter and so he had to see her! It didn't take long before she walked into his class, he moved and she joined him on the seat. He stared at her for a while and she couldn't look at him, she just stared at her hands on the desk and after a while all he could manage to say was; "Why...?" Saffiyah sighed, glad that he broke the silence and also disappointed that she had to answer that question. "Jamal.... I really can't explain this okay? Its just so complicated plus we are still very young to think about anything serious. So I think we should just go our separate ways till we are old enough to decide what we want." Jamal was dazed, he just stared at her mouth as the words fell out. "Saffy, .... Don't do this... Please." "Jamal I'm scared, I'm scared of doing something stupid so I think that's the best thing to do and I'm sorry. Please forgive me okay...?" She had tears in her eyes and he really wanted to wipe them away but a teacher came in; "Take your bags outside and let's get ready for this paper." Jamal turned around to carry his bag and when he looked back, Saffiyah had left.

Broken Tears Episode 3

"Dupe!" Mrs Durojaiye called out; "go get the door, someone's knocking." She had come home early to prepare dinner for five, because the twins were coming into town today and they had kept it from Dupe because they wanted to surprise her. That's why she called her out to get the door herself, she would be so happy to see her friends again. She smiled at the sounds of the girls' squeals. They had grown up like sisters, and she was greatful since she couldn't have anymore children after she had Dupe. Dupe was her everything, after Michael of course! She loved her family with everything she was,her parents were late, and she was the only surviving child so this family was all she had. "Mummy mummy!!! Saffy and Maryam are here!" She chuckled and went to the living room, trying to act surprised; "oooooh my dears, how was your flight? How's mummy and daddy?" "They're fine ma!" Saffiyah answered, beeming. "Mummy you're looking younger!". Maryam observed. "Oh thank you my dear, and you're growing into a beautiful young lady." She replied knowing what Maryam liked to hear. "Saffy my little brownie, hope you've been a good girl to mummy and daddy?" "Yes I have ma, trust me now." "I do my dear, why don't you girls go in and freshen up while I prepare dinner." With that, the girls rushed in to Dupe's room, screaming and jumping and hugging.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"Wow Saffy, you're really in love with this guy." Dupe confirmed after Saffiyah narrated everything to her. Maryam raised an eyebrow; "I really don't know what's sooo bad about loving this guy, Saffy goes on talking about what mum and dad would say! If I should fall in love with a blind man, I'll marry the hell out of him! I really don't care o." Saffiyah rolled her eyes; "you're saying all these because you are not in that situation Maryam! Be reasonable jor! Mum and dad would kill me, especially mum! You know that!" Dupe held Saffiyah's hand on the bed; "Saffy, you should be patient for now, maybe sometime in the future, you'll meet someone who is really meant for you okay? We're still too young to know these things. And plus even if he's yoruba, I bet you wouldn't even have the guts to tell your mum that you have a boyfriend, because she would definitely kill you! So, can we talk about something else?" Maryam sighed and brought out her iPhone. "Maryam, I swear if you play 'My way' here I'll break that thing!" Dupe scolded. "Ah ahn! You too? Are you in love??? Please tell me, because only that can cause this beef for my playlist!" Maryam said, laughing hard. Saffiyah brought out the box of chocolates they bought and they all sat round it and ate, while updating each other on what they had missed.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Their holiday was fun; they went shopping with Dupe and her mum, played video games with her dad, strolled with her, and talked about everything! When it was time for them to leave it wasn't as painful as the first time, knowing they would see each-other soon again and they would have lots to talk about. Saffiyah hadn't decided what to do about Jamal yet, Dupe wasn't really interested in boys yet and Maryam was just too into Wande coal to worry about anything! While they were at the airport waiting, someone tapped Maryam from behind; "Please could you send me that song you're listening to?" He asked; maryam turned around to see the face behind the soothing voice and smiled at him; "Of course." After a while their flight was announced and it was time to leave, Saffiyah texted Dupe that they were leaving so they could stop waiting and head home. In the plane, they met the guy again, Maryam's was to sit next to him and Saffiyah sat behind them; "Aah, we meet again! I'm not sending you any more of my songs though!" Maryam stated. "Oh no problem, I have up to three thousand songs on my play list you know." "Wow, so much? Can I have a look." And they went on and on and Saffiyah just sat there, thinking about Jamal....

Broken Tears- Episode 2

The bell rang and Saffiyah heaved a sigh of relief! The class was so boring and some of the students had dozed off.     They started shuffling their feet on the ground and Mr Hakeem their Mathematics teacher had to leave the class. She looked over to where Maryam was sitted, her eyes were fixed on something beneath her desk, Saffiyah bent to check and chuckled; Her sister had been reading a novel the whole time, very soon she would come bother her for another one! She was surprised her sister hadn't had the time to catch any new dude yet, that was her normal routine at their former school, and it'd been two months they resumed here yet... Nothing! She turned back around and stretched, one more class and school would be over for that day, she couldn't wait! Maryam got up and walked out of the class along with some other students. Saffiyah frowned; where was she off to? She brought out her time table and checked to see what the next subject was; her heart stopped! Further Maths! How could she have forgotten? She hadn't done her assignment and Mr Ken would be here any second! She turned to see if she could get someone's note to quickly copy from, and just then Mr Ken walked in with five fat canes in one and and his note in the other. Saffiyah could literally taste salt in the corners of her mouth. "Open your notes and let me see your assignments, and God bless you if you haven't done it, I'll give you something to nurse this weekend!" Saffiyah looked around, some students were opening their notes and others were scribbling what they could in theirs. Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! Saffiyah quickly turned at the sounds of his cane on the first person's back! Six strokes!! The boy screamed and started to cry! Oh God! What do I do? She thought. She couldn't possibly wait and get flogged, she would just faint! She got up, turned around and ran out through the back door as fast as her legs could carry her. "Who is that running out? Hey, come back here!" Mr Ken called out. She didn't turn around, she got to a  class, ran in and sat on an empty sit, she looked back to see if anyone was running after her, there was no one, she put her head on the locker. She so wished she was Maryam at that moment. Maryam wasn't offering the course, she said she didn't want to stress her brain and that too much stress could make a girl become ugly! Saffiyah was scared; what if he came in behind me and flogged my back? What if he sent four students to come and drag her back? What if a teacher walked into this class now?! She shut her eyes and tried to steady her breaths. Just then, someone came in behind her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jamal left the Biology teacher's office with a sigh of relief. This head boy work was really weighing him down, he was really lucky he had time to read his books. He couldn't wait to just write WAEC and leave high school. He jugged to his class, he had to finish reading his chemistry note before school closed. When he walked past the front door of his class an odd feeling came over him, a chilly feeling. He shrugged it off and walked towards the back door where his seat was and walked into the class. He walked towards his seat curiously, wondering who the young lady was and why she chose his seat. When he got close to her, she froze, he could see that she was alarmed and was probably hiding from something or someone; "Errr excuse me, may I join you?" He asked politely. She raised up her head and looked up at him; her eyes consumed him, he had never seen so much beauty in one body before, she had brown eyes, thesame colour with her hair, a small nose, pink lips, slender figure and long legs. He took it all in in no-time! She moved to the wall and then he sat. "What's your name?" He asked. She hesitated at first, then she stared at the tag on his shirt and decided to be polite; "Saffiyah." He smiled; "My name is Jamal Malik." He stated. She returned his smile with her own breath-taking one; "I know who you are. Everyone knows." And they started talking, asking and answering questions and laughing. They talked for a long while and were both disappointed when the bell rang signalling the end of school for that day. Jamal picked up his bag and walked with Saffiyah to her class to get hers. To his surprise, standing at the door of the class with two school bags was another Saffiyah, much darker and with more pronounced body curvatures. He couldn't help both notice that these two were really endowed. He tried to keep his gaze on the girl's face; "Are you two twins?" "Yes we are head boy, I'm Maryam by the way, has my baby sis' committed any crime?" If being so pretty and perfect is a crime then she has committed a crime that I'm not gon' let go off! "No, not at all. I just want to walk her to the school gate if you'll allow me." Maryam smiled; "Of course, shall we?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Saffiyah couldn't get her mind off Jamal, she saw him at school everyday! She ran into him everywhere! She was in love with him and him with her too, she could tell. Maryam always teased her about him, and shoved it aside when she tried to bring up the fact that he was a Hausa guy. "So what? Is he not a man? Are you not a woman?" She would say. But Saffiyah didn't want to go into anything that would make anybody unhappy with her at all, she was scared. But she loved this guy! She loved talking to him, all the time, he even put her through Further maths. She always fantasized about his big round eyes, his dark hair and side burns was perfect on his fair complexion! He had long lashes and his smile was ravishing! She could just stay all day, staring at him. He was cool, gentle and quiet, and easy going too. And he was so intelligent! An aspiring medical doctor. Awww how she so wished... "Oooh na na na na na, oooh na na na na na..." She rolled her eyes as her sister walked into the room playing 'My way' by Wande coal again! "Maryam get over yourself! Wande coal doesn't know you! And the song aint for you!!" Maryam turned around, and laughed histerically; "God! If this is what love does to a girl, could you please turn me into a guy? 'Cos I sure do wana fall in love someday, but not like this." "Maryam! Stop it please! I'm not happy at all. I really can't explain how I feel and I don't know what's gon happen!" "Saffy, follow your heart o! And stop all this outdated ish!" Maryam had guts! But she didn't want any trouble. She had to figure out a way out of this before it became too much for them both...

Broken Tears Episode 1

Broken tears is about a set of female twins in high school, senior year, whose parents are typical about tribal differences. Along with their best friend, they make plans for their future which is of course a bumpy ride especially for the twins. Oh well, before I tell it all, let's get into the story..

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wande coal's "My way" playing in the background.
"I really love this song! Its like he's singing it for me! I can't wait for someone to actually sing me a love song and really mean it!" Says Maryam, one of the twins, who loves to have fun but is very clever, and deep down, doesn't care what anybody thinks about anything, so long as it doesn't affect her twin and her besty! She's got dark brown skin, jet-black hair, and a commanding figure, unlike her twin Saffiyah who's a bit lighter, with brown eyes and hair, very soft-hearted and sweet with a simple curvy figure.
"Maryam please stop shaking your body would you? We know you're hot, but please don't rub it in! Come sit with us and have some chocolates." Her twin replies smiling, exposing her cute gapped tooth, two teeth away from her upper incisor. Maryam jumps on the bed and lies next to Dupe, their bestfriend, all three of them grew up together. But the twins and their parents were moving in two days, which meant, they would have to change school and would only see Dupe during the holidays. Dupe sighs; "I can't still believe you girls are moving. Its gon' be hard for me, I'll be going to school alone, I'll be alone during break and I'll be bored all through the rest of my school days!" "Common Modupe.." Maryam replies; "don't make it sound like we are dying. We'll spend our breaks together, it'll be fun! We'll have stories to tell about everything! And its not gon' be such a long time too, we'll be joining a new school from second term, and after we are through with this session, we'll be in S.S.3, before we know it, we're done! Cheer up! We're sad too, but it might be a good thing."
"Dang! It might be a good thing because you'll have the opportunity to catch some new guy ba? Common Maryam, we know your plans." Saffiyah chips in. They all laugh about it and eat their chocolates and plan how they'll spend their holidays together.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"Saffiyah! Hurry up! We mustn't miss our flight! Ah ah, I don't know why you didn't even pack all this while!" Mrs Ibrahim scolds her daughter;a beautiful young woman in herlate thirties dressed in a blue knee length velvet gown and a matching scarf, looking dashing even in her angry state, its obvious where Maryam got her killer looks from. "Aisha calm down now, we won't miss the flight." Her husband Ahmad replies, patiently waiting for his daughter to come out of the house. Ahmad is a successful contractor in his early fourties. "Don't mind mama ejima, she's just in a hurry to leave for Abuja! Who no like better thing!" Laughs Mrs Durojaiye; Dupe's mother. They are all at the Ibrahims to bid them farewell, Maryam is in the back sit of the car chatting away with Dupe, while their parents stand outside and talk. Finally, Saffiyah comes out, pulling two boxes with her; "Mum I told you my shoe was spoilt last night and you promised to help me fix it, that's what I've been doing." "You see," Dupe's mum points out; "you were now scolding the poor girl." "Did you remind me? Common enter the car jare!  I don't know why you didn't even send your load together with the rest two days ago!" They all bid their friends good bye, the twins hug their dear friend and get into the car, Maryam turns around to wave at Dupe till she's out of sight and then she sits back; "I'm really really going to miss Dupe." Saffiyah sniffs beside her; "please I don't want to talk about that okay?." Maryam turns to look at her twin, she sighs, here we go again; "awwww Saffy, don't cry, we'll see her again now, haba! Come here." She pulls Saffiyah to her shoulder and pets her; "Common don't be a baby now, we'll make new friends, we'll have a lot to tell Dupe when we vacate." And then she whispers; "and then we'll meet new boys!" "What was that?!" Aisha retorted. "Nothing mum." Saffiyah was quick to cover for her sister. And then she whispers to Maryam; "You're just a silly pervert!" They both laugh and Maryam brings out her iphone and passes one ear of the ear-piece to Saffiyah, who collects it happily, at least this would take her mind off Dupe for a while, but she rolls her eyes when her sister plays "My way" and puts it on repeat!

From Smoking To CEO

I remember quite well some weeks back, I told y'all about a design I was learning. Smoking to be precise! Yeah! I smoked for a while LOL! And it was fun and interesting. And it became more complicated as new designs unfolded. I started using a sewing machine... Which was kinda frustrating as I didn't know how to control it at the time. Watching others sew was like watching the sky turn dark when its about to rain! It was like magic! At a point I said to myself "this is just a machine  Oiza! Its meant to be controlled! Don't chicken out!" And so I formed a motto "Control your machine, don't let ur machine control you! LET'S GO!" And with that I would spin the head of the machine and step on the pedals and pedal till I was done! My colleagues used to laugh at me each time I did that. But I was determined. I just had to learn it... And at a point, it became easier. Before I knew it, I made an apron, then I made a pot holder, a kitchen towel, a baby bed, a center rug, a toilet foot mat, and later I made a bedsheet, pillow case and most amazing of all, I made a duvet. Trust me you don't want to know how the duvet making process went! I almost passed out on the thick fabric. But in the end I was proud of myself. I'm now kind of a machine expert, I get assigned to anyone with a faulty machine, and within minutes, I know where the fault is, and I repair it... I am even a junior instructor to any fresher at work... Me. A month back I was struggling with needle and thread... Its actually amazing. I love what I'm doing. I have always, always wanted to be a fashion designer. True, dreams die but trust me if u r doing what u r destined to do, no matter the difficulties, ul get better. Right now, I'm thinking of a suitable name to call my fashion home because I believe I'll get there soon! I graduated as an interior designer last thursday. I thank God for Asuu strike... I have found my path. I know I have to finish school but I AM coming back, I just pray God keeps me alive.
I am willing to work harder than I've ever worked. I love my boss! That's the first step to success after God. U have to like ur teacher, before u can like what u r taught. My boss is a beautiful, nice, patient and dedicated young woman. I look at her and I see myself in the nearest future. God just led me to someone who is actually doing what I've been wanting to do all my life. I know people will wonder why I love fashion so much, well, its in the blood, a fashion designer gave birth to me. My mum was the first designer in Ojo barracks in 1992 with the name "Kogi Fashion". We were popular...! In the barracks though! Lol. And she's happy I'm walking on this path! And my boss's mum is also a fashion designer,so what are we saying??? God bless you Mrs Omoniyi for giving me this foundation. God bless my mum Alhaja Hadiza Iganyi for helping me get up and start afresh each time I fall. God bless my siblings for always being there when I needed them. God bless my dad. God bless my friends for all the encouragements. And god bless You for always reading! I write because of you, because ul always read and advise me... I hope u also gain a lot from what I write here. I pray ul be here to congratulate me and celebrate with me when I get to the top of my dreams! And by then... I trust ud be where u want to too... May God keep us alive till then. I love u! :*

Have You Really Helped?

This post is not directed at anybody in particular but it is directed at EVERYBODY including and most especially YOU!

And me! LOL

I was on my way out to see my sister this morning, and there was this heavy traffic on the way,an accident had just occurred and according to the people who saw it,it was fatal... Somebody who was a Truck-pusher was crossing the road with his/her truck and was knocked UP by a car. Yes,I said knocked up because they said the car threw him/her into the air and nobody missed the sight! I'm using pronouns for both sexes because I don't know if it was a man or a woman. Yeah, when I heard truck-pusher,I also concluded it must have been a man,but when we got to the scene, there was no body but the pair of slippers on the road was that of a woman. And we kept thinking.. why on earth would a woman become a truck pusher...

We are all in life for a purpose. We all have different goals, but some of us are still lost, some people don't even know what they want! Everyday they get mad at other people's success and keep comparing their lives with others... We really have to learn to thank God for each day we find ourselves alive. Its not that we are that special, its not our faith that keeps us, its just God showing His mercy to us... What have you done to thank Him?

We all pass through every stage in life hoping to get to the next as quickly as possible and also hoping we would be successful. We all plan for our future, plan for tomorrow, prepare for parties, prepare for competitions... How many of us prepare for death? That party might be postponed, that competition might not hold but life must surely have an end... What are your plans?

You! You are worried and sad because you haven't found a job after going to school and coming out with good grades... Yes,its not something to be happy about but learn to be patient, its not easy but in the end,its worth it. God knows best. Everybody must go through delay in his life time whether he likes it or not,be happy you are alive to go through your own delay. I gained admission into the University 5years after I finished secondary school, and I am happy to be here today, and I thank God, for I know some of my classmates who got into school immediately after we finished and today, they are no more...

For those of you who have had it easy all your life up till today, what have you done to show your gratitude?

You! You are beating yourself up because you don't have a car and all your friends do! There's someone out there who can't even stand, who doesn't even have knees on which he could kneel and pray! But you can stand, you can walk, you can do things without any help yet you are not grateful...

For those of you who have cars at your disposal, what have you done to show your gratitude to God?

You! Mother of four! You are sad because that young lady that has a shop like yours sells goods worth times two of what you sell daily... Its sad that you would actually feel bad about that... Look around you, you also have something she might be craving for.

For those that make excess money everyday, what have you done to thank God?

You! You've been married for a while and you have no child, which makes you and your spouse really sad and worried... *smiles* Have you ever been to a mother-less babies home? Have you seen these children? Do you see the look in their eyes? Those children long to call someone mummy/daddy... Those children do not get all the motherly care every child deserves and it hurts, but they'll never know that, because they don't even know motherly care exists, which hurts even more!

Those of you who have children... How have you brought them up to show your gratitude to God???

Now, let me imagine your answers. "I pay my tithe", "I give back to the house of God as many times as I can", .... The truth is... God doesn't need your money! God doesn't need to buy anything! If you want to help build the house of God, why don't you donate a Holy Book, or chairs, or mats, or even a number of blocks for actually building! People may look down on you but believe me with each passing day, even after your death, as people keep worshipping God, with that Holy book,on that chair/mat, in that house of God built with those blocks you donated... You'll get blessed! For once my people, use that money to actually HELP those that NEED it!!! Go to the hospital, donate something! Like a wheel-chair, make a public bore-hole, and you woman with no child, adopt one of these babies and give that child a home! Give that child PARENTS! Think of the little houses of God you'll be building in the hearts of these people who actually need you!

But NO! Some of us, push billions of cash into places of worship all in the name of building the house of God... If God needs you to build Him anything, trust me you'll get a message! Everyday you pass by a poor person, who begs you for alms and obviously needs it,that's a message! You don't have a child yet God pumps money into your pocket everyday, and you know it in your heart that you can afford to take care of a mother-less child, that's a message! You pass by some animals standing by a tap, which is locked and you have hands to open it and provide for them water to drink, that's a message!

But No... Instead of giving LITTLE, to put a genuine smile on peoples faces, some of us have succeeded in giving SO MUCH, we have contributed SO MUCH in putting frowns on people faces... Instead of building little houses of God in peoples hearts, we have built mighty institutions that even we ourselves cannot afford! If you really want to help, HELP and know it in your heart that you are helping! So that tomorrow, when you need help from your Creator, you'll tell him of those little houses of His that you have built in the hearts of those He sent to you...

Kai! Some people's problem is that they're dark, they're looking for the right bleaching cream! Don't even let me get started with those ones! Bleach o! And out of guilty conscience them go dey chant "only God can judge me!" Mtchwww!

Blood Friends Prt 2

Kaycee got up and walked towards the school area,at least to say hello to his former level adviser before leaving. He met him locking up his office to leave but immediately his level adviser set eyes on him,he was so happy and reopened his office for them to go in and have a chat. After a while Kaycee told him why he came to school, the man thought for a while "Ella... Ella, I know that girl. I think I still have her file from her first year let me check" he scattered the files below his desk, brought out her file and dusted it. Kaycee opened it anxiously and luckily for him,her residential address was there,he copied it and thanked the man and they both left the office. He lodged in a hotel for the night and called Kalu to tell him everything. Kalu was shocked .. "So u mean say u go all the way back to P.H go fyn dt girl? Na wa o,I no know say u mean am like that o! Na wa u o! Because of girl!!! Hmmm! Okay sha,I hope u find her". The next morning Kaycee embarked on his journey before the sun came out! He was so anxious and nervous at thesame time. He didn't want to waste time at the same time he didn't want to rush! While in the bus,he kept wishing the bus would move faster as he pushed the seat in front of him. He couldn't wait! Finally, after hours, they got to their destination, and he started another journey to find Ella's house. It wasn't that hard at all, when he got to her door,he dusted his jeans, smoothened his shirt, took a deep breath and knocked! He waited... He could hear the seconds tick away, and just when he decided to knock again, she opened... She was darker, she had dark circles around her eyes, she was... "Oh my God Kaycee!" She flew into his arms! Kaycee held her for a while before withdrawing to look down at her, "what on earth happened to you?" .. "Kaycee, its a long story,my aunt died and I had to leave school, there was no money,I had nothing, and I had to start... Errr emm..." "Its okay Ella" Kaycee stopped her. They went in,had something to eat from what he bought and talked for a while. Then he told her "everything is okay, you don't have to worry anymore, I came all the way here to ask you to marry me Ella." He went down on one knee "Ella, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" "Oh Kaycee! Yes! Yes I will Kaycee" she started crying "oh my God! A lot of things happened Kaycee,I have to tell you..." "Sssshhhh its okay, everything is fine now Ella, everything is fine!" ..... "Heeeey! See your food!" The prison warder threw a loaf of bread at him. "Make you no come die before your time!" Kaycee stared at the bread for a while... "Me! Me, a loaf of bread?! Oh God! Where did I go wrong?" He sat there and stared at the bread for a long time, and when he got very hungry,he picked it up and ate slowly with pain in his heart. ... He had been married to Ella for four years now, they had two lovely daughters and they were happy. His friend Kalu refused to get married,he was always drinking and having a lot of girlfriends. On that night, that night that he dreaded to remember, the night that changed their lives,he was called when he was about leaving his office by Kalu's colleague, telling him to come pick Kalu, that he was drunk and couldn't even walk to his car,let alone drive. Kene was enraged, how long did he have to keep baby-sitting Kalu? He couldn't count how many times he had had to go pick up Kalu, take him home, bathe him and sometimes even sleep over! He was practically living half his life for Kalu, and if he tried to complain,Kalu would remind him of how he helped him woo his babe who he later married! But this was too much already! He hardly had time for his family! He was going to put at end to it! He got to Kalu's office, dragged him n forced him into his car, when he got in, he started "what the hell do you think you're doing with your life Kalu? You're a lawyer for God's sake! You're not living life as a responsible man would! Don't you think? I'm sick and tired of your drinking and womanizing! Get a wife! Settle down Kalu! Wetin dey worry you? You get job! You get house,Kalu go marry make you start life!" Kalu just kept singing drunkenly throughout the drive home, at a point he laughed and said "You think you have a perfect life? No woman is to be trusted! All women are prostitutes! They all sleep around for money!" "I beg your pardon" Kaycee replied. "My wife is an exception! Please don't say that again! You keep blaming all your misdeeds on other people!" "Hahahaha" Kalu laughed. "Exception indeed! I'm surprised that after all these years she didn't tell you about her excapades during your service year!"... "What the hell do you mean by that?... Kalu! What is the meaning of that?!" He looked over at Kalu but he was already asleep. He looked annoying at that moment! Kaycee got to his house, pulled Kalu out, dragged him inside and left angrily! He drove home in rage. What was Ella hiding from him? What was Kalu trying to tell him? Oh God! He got home, got out of his car and went inside angrily. "Ella! Ellaaaa! EMMANUELLA!!!" "Yes? Yes?!" She answered. "What is it? Why are you shouting my name like that?" She hurriedly climbed down the stairs. She had never seen Kaycee this way before! He pulled her up the stairs. "What happened with you during my NYSC?" "Kene calm down! The children are asleep. What are you talking about?" "Oh shut up and don't give me that! You know very well what I'm talking about! I said what were you doing when I was serving? After you left school to be precise!" "Oh" she muttered. "Oh?! Oh? That's what you have to say? I did everything I could to make you happy? Ever since I met you,I lived FOR you! I sent you back to school Ella! And all you pay me back with is keep a secret? A secret that even Kalu knows about and I don't? Why Ella? Do I deserve that? Ella look at me. Look at me and tell me the truth... Did you ever go into prostitution?" Ella was shocked at his question. She opened her mouth but she couldn't speak. "Talk to me Ella!" He shouted! Ella shook with fear, "I'm so sorry Kene" she sobbed. "I tried to tell you when you came to my village, but I was so ashamed,I had nothing,I couldn't get a job,my aunty was sick,I had to feed us both and buy her drugs and nobody helped. I'm so sorry,I know you're disappointed but it was the fastest way I could get money,I thought I could save her,I didn't want to lose her,she was all I had left..." Kaycee was weak. It tore at his heart that she went through all that. But she should have told him. But how did Kalu know about it? He shoved the thought from his mind, it was her past and they were happy now so that didn't matter. He walked towards her,to comfort her and out of fear she took a step back and missed a step, before Kaycee could grab her,she fell! Rolling helplessly down the stairs till she landed with a loud thud, her head in a very compromising condition. He could hear the police siren outside his home and his neighbours shouting... "Arrest him before he kills that poor woman! Hey! We've been hearing their voices for the past one hour! Please take him away!" He hurried down the stairs to check on his wife, just then, a cop broke open his door! "Put your hands where I can see them",the policeman bent to check his wife's pulse. "Mr Kenechukwu Obi you are under arrest for the murder of your wife, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say ...." Kaycee wasn't listening,he stared at his wife as they pulled him away, he couldn't speak,he was shocked! Its been a week now and they wouldn't even let him see anybody, let alone call a lawyer! He kept trying to explain that he didn't kill his wife! He never laid a finger on her or any woman since he was born. He wondered how and where his children were... Ah God! So this is how he would die? He wished he hadn't scared Ella that much,he remembered the look of fear in her eyes when she took that step, her last step! He closed his eyes tight and tried to undo everything that had happened, but that wasn't possible! He heard footsteps coming towards his cell. He got up. He was shocked at who he saw! "KALU!" He couldn't believe it! "Kalu where have you been? Kalu Ella is dead! Ella is dead and they think I killed her. They didn't let me see anybody, they didn't even let me call a lawyer, I couldn't contact you! They just put me here and they've even decided when to kill my innocent soul Kalu!" "Guy calm down na,why you come dey cry like woman! You dey embarrass me na!"... "Kalu, u dey mad?! You know the kind mata wey dey ground at all! Mehn! Dem wan hang me! Kalu are you sane at all? Do you understand what I'm telling you??? How are my children?" Kalu stared at him like was looking at a mad man "your children are safe, they're at my house". "Kalu I swear with my parents grave I didn't kill Emmanuella, you've got to believe me even if none of these people will,it was an accident!" "Calm down man,I know, you no dey beat woman now,and even if you wan start, you would never do that to Ella,I know you didn't kill,I also know she fell from the stairs and you never touched her,I know man!" .. "What? How did you know all that?" Kalu stared at his friend for a long time, for the first time in his life he could see sadness, fear and worry in Kaycee's eyes. He felt bad that he was the cause! After what happened that night,he went to church to confess his sins and promised himself he would never do any of those things again! That life was over, enough damage had been done, but he was thankful that God gave him a chance to change things... He walked closer to his friend and put on a straight face because he knew his next words would change all their lives forever... "She told me Kaycee, she told me everything that happened that night!" Kenechukwu stared blankly at Kalu "wetin u just talk so? Guard common open dis thing! Am I supposed to be in here while I talk to someone who's visiting? If I get out of here alive I'll press charges!" "Calm down Kaycee,ur wife is alive, yes she suffered severe injuries but she's fine,as I speak with you, she's outside!" Kaycee ran out with tears in his eyes, pushing all the security men on his way,at this point, even if they shot him,he wouldn't care! He had to see his Ella! And truly, there she was in the car,she looked funny with the big POP around her neck, but in a very cute way. She smiled at him as he ran to hold her in his arms. "Careful with the neck Kene, you don't want to crush it completely" she laughed. "Oh my baby I'm so happy you're alive! I'm so sorry about what happened,I never meant to scare you!" .. "I know Kene, and I'm sorry for keeping things from you,I shouldn't have,no matter what... Kalu saved my life, I don't know how or what happened, but Kalu saved my life kene..." Kalu walked towards them "Kaycee... I want to use this opportunity to ask for your forgiveness, for everything I have caused! I'll spend the rest of my life righting my wrongs,as long as you both give me a chance. Please I'm sorry,I'm really sorry..." Kaycee stared at him for a while... "As long as you'll be the one to take me home today, then there's no prblem! How far with these people? I'm pressing charges o!I won't let them go free after what they put me through!" Kalu laughed and replied "Trust me now, I've taken care of that, let's go home!" ............

Blood Friends Prt 1

Kenechukwu stared at his hands, they were shaky! He couldn't believe what had happened. Just in a flash he lost all he had... The tears dropped on his palms. 'God but why?' He wondered. This had to be a bad dream... It just had to be a dream! Where was all this coming from??? His heart was heavy! His chest felt like he had the weight of the universe there! He leaned his back on the wall, flipped his head back and closed his eyes, and there she was, smiling down at him.. But he would never see her again... And the tears rolled down his face freely... ...
He had to talk to Kalu! Kalu had to be the lawyer that would get him out of this mess.. Even though that was clearly impossible. Kalu was his friend, his brother! They grew up together in Umueze motherless babies home in Anambra! They even schooled together! They both attended Uniport in Rivers state and that's where Kenechukwu even met her. Kaycee as he was popularly called then was a very quiet lad in school. Kalu was a bit notorious! He smiled as he thought about those times... When Kalu would go steal a pot of beans from a fellow student's kitchen and he would get bread or garri and they would both eat! How Kalu would buy a handout without paying and still ask for change! How Kalu always got into problems with too many girlfriends at a time! Ironically,Kalu was a Law student! 'Ah Kalu!' He murmured 'I should have known you wouldn't stop!' He remember vivdly the day he met her, he was glued to a spot, couldn't blink, move or speak,he just stared. He couldn't wait to tell Kalu when they got back to the hostel. "Mehn guy!" He said "You no go believe the kind chikala wey I see today! The chic set! Infact Nna that babe Odikwa too sexy!" "Wetin be her name?" Kalu asked. "I no know" Kaycee answered. "Shooooo! Kaycee! You wan tell me say una no communicate?" "See ehn Kalu, I no fit just halla the babe o! Ur guy just hook for there,I just press pause! U sef know me now. I no want make she com skemp me,u know dt kind thing na! Abeg help ur boy out na,no look me like dis!" "Okay okay! I no get lectures tomorrow,I go follow you go your department, just show me the babe and leave the rest to me!" And it was settled! The next day they both sat outside Kaycee's class waiting for the girl to pass by and the moment Kaycee sighted her,he signalled Kalu "Guy na the chic be that" Kalu got up and walked towards her "err excuse me miss, you dropped your money" he quickly brought out a hundred naira note from hs pocket and bent down and acted like he picked it up,he got up n stretched it towards her "oh no no that's not mine" she answered "are you sure? I saw it drop from your bag" he asked "I'm very sure,I have just fifty naira notes with me,no hundred" she answered with a smile. "Wow! Then I must have made a mistake. Anyway I'm Kalu, what's your name?" He stretched out hs hand; "I'm Emmanuella, but u can call me 'Ella" she shook his hand. "Wow Ella that's a sweet name, errr actually I was chilling with my friend before I saw you, would you like to join us? Please... We'll be honoured" she laughed "well, if it means that much to you guys,I'll join you" "Thank you" Kalu replied. Then they both walked back to where Kaycee was patiently waiting and sat down. "Ahem!" Kalu cleared his throat "let me do the introduction,Emmanuella meet Kenechukwu my brother from another mother,Kaycee - Ella" They started talking about school and all,Kaycee found out that they were both in department of Accounting but he was 2 years ahead of her. Kalu left them after a while and they both strolled to Ella's class, but luckily for them, her lecturer was absent so they talked for a long while and Kaycee took her for lunch while he starved all because he wanted to be a gentleman. At the end of the day,he knew virtually everything about her, she was from Imbise in Imo state, her parents had died in a car accident when she was 4 and she grew up with her mother's sister who didn't have a husband or child of her own. ... .... There was a thud on the wall beside Kaycee that jolted him back to the present, it was the guy in the cell next to his, "my man,how far na? U get cigar?" Kene stared at the wall like he could see through it! "For your information I don't smoke okay?" He snapped. "Okaaay hehehe" the guy replied "Na u dem dey hang next tomorrow? Heheheeee so that's why u wan kee yoursef? Guy you better cool down! Life is too short o! As we dey so,na YOLO things!" Kene was filled with rage! He wanted to crush the guy but then he remembered how he got here.... He fell to the floor and sobbed loudly till he fell into deep thoughts again... He remembered when he graduated and Kalu went to Law school, they were proud of each other. He served in GTB in Lagos state but he never forgot about his dearest Ella. He wrote to her everytime he got the chance to,and always got replies a week after. That was the only way they could communicate as there were no phones at the time, after 6months,he stopped getting replies from her. Her last letter seemed to have been written in a rush, and he became worried but he couldn't travel down to see her as there was no break. A week after he passed out,he travelled down to Uniport to see her and find out what happened. He got to her house and it looked like nobody had been there in a long time. He asked her neighbours and they said she never came back to resume after their 2nd semester break. He was lost! There was no way he could contact her, He sat down in front of her door n put his head in his hands... How would he ever find his Ella?...

Tangled Web

At this point I'm truly losing it... Which kind wahala come be this one??? You guys won't believe this at all! Hmmm! Last year, in school, a friend of mine came to spend two weeks with me,as a big girl consign,I dey stay off Campus hehehe! This my friend as far as I know,is engaged! She's been engaged since... Even before I met her in 100 level *sips kunu* okay! As at last year,we were in 200 level. She had a consistent "toaster" then whom she told me about and showed to me. When I saw the guy, hmmm! TDH things like this! I told my friend, babes, this guy is fine o! And you have a boyfriend back home, not even a boyfriend, you are engaged, my sister the moment you give in to this guy,and he starts doing things for you, you'll start seeing faults in your guy o! My friend told me she had everything under control... So they started seeing each other! She had a spare key to my crib because we weren't schooling in the same campus. Sometimes I would get back from school and they both would be at home... Gisting sha o! They spent a lot of time together until my friend started dissing her supposed husband-to-be on the phone, severally! I had to call her to order! Babes are you sure you know what you're doing? Heh! The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know oo! You've been with this guy for three years as you say and you just started dating this guy when? And now what's all this you're doing? You now drop calls on your boyfriend and sometimes slam the phone on the wall! You don forget say na him buy phone for you ba? My dear You better weigh your options o! So she thought about it and made a decision to end it with this new bobo which I was happy about! I made sure I wasn't part of the relationship from the beginning to the end because I never supported it! *sips kunu* After a while, the whole issue had died down,my friend had gone back to her place and life had continued! One sunny day, I was at a salon making my hair. I saw the guy passing and before I could look away he saw me too and came into the salon, sat down and... Na so the guy start o... "I've been wanting to see you,the issue is that I want to discuss about your friend. I want to report her to you. I don't like what she did at all,and she's been rejecting my calls.....blah blah blah" then I told him bros! You knew she was in a serious relationship, what did you really expect, that she would leave her guy for you? Put yourself in his shoes now! Is it fair? ... He put his head down for a while n I felt "yes, I hit the right spot" After a while he said goodbye and left and said we would see later... I never saw him again last year, which was a relief! This year, I rented a new apartment completely forgot about him self! Until february, when my neighbour celebrated his birthday... Its quite unfortunate that my next door neighbour is his course mate :( that's when he saw me again o! But this time around the story has changed! The guy is now wooing me!!! He's been calling me,texting me, telling me its me he wanted all those while, telling me how decent and nice I am, how funny it is that I possess all he wants in a woman! That he wants to marry me, that I should please think about it! That its just God's wish that he met me through my friend! That most times, a good girl meets a bad guy and vice versa! That he's told his mum about me, his mum saw my picture and she likes me already! And that's how he goes on and on and on.....! Hmmm! *clears throat* I know you're all thinking about my own feelings! To tell you the truth, this guy might be fine o,but he doesn't tickle my "fanta" let alone "sy" I no like am! God forgive me,but his accent puts me off! And how does he even see me??? Ah ahhh! You dated my friend, you used to come visit her at my place for God's sake! Seriously??? He even asked me if he could give his sister my BB pin, because she wanted to talk to me! Ahh! Before I turn into family issue I deleted the guy sharp sharp! But he has my phone number! Even if I change my line, the nigga knows my house... I don't really like getting pushed to the wall especially when its about something I clearly do not want to do! Plus I don't want to be rude... I really don't know how to tell him off, I have tried all the polite skills I know, but this guy is on my neck o! Abeg! Help a sister out....!

Fallen

Hey everyone!!! wow! so here i am today, at home, idle, and kinda lost! many things could happen within a second but we can't notice them all. sometimes we are too ignorant to even want to notice the important things people do or say to/for us. 3 weeks ago a friend ofmine asked me after reading an interview of mine bou being a model/designer and all, he said "are u sure u want to do this?" and i answered proudly "yes i am,what i actually want to do,is be a designer but i need all d experience i can get before then, thats y im modeling now"That statement is like a programmed answer i give to anyone who asks me a question bou my modeling ambition.but he continued "hmmm, whats that ur course again" i answered "surveying and geoinformatics" n he asked "so u want to be a surveyor and a model?" and i said "not everybody turns out to be successful in the field they studied, when im done with school,il face my dream lf becoming a designer squarely,if ASUU calls off thestrike,il start learning how to sew in school. not many of us females will be allowed to work anyway, depends on what u and ur partner agree on when u get married, but just incase... i have something to fall back on". n he said "wow uv really planned it all o! so what kinda man wud u like to settle down with?" "a nice man :)" i answered "a nice God fearing man that respects his mother n father, who will love and care for me." then he said "thank u for not mentioning tall, dark n handsome... some girls are all about looks n sometimes they believe a guy likes them because of their looks too,but really its more than that"  and i replied "errrr are u trying to tell me something personal?" he replied "LOL, i heard u moved from ur former crib" i answered "ooooh its now ur knowing ba?" and he said "sorry no vex, when school resumes, anytime im around il try n know ur place." n i said "ok till then o" n he said "no problem dear,i wish u d best,d interview was nice. but above all, dont forget ur prayers o" i said "ok  thanks andu too".... after that we only kept commenting on each other's PMs and DPs till on the 24th when he said "Oiza nice pm" and i answered "hayche *hug* thanks". i woke up on monday morning to see a friend's pm "RIP Hayche Maleek" n i quickly "abeg which hayche maleek" n she replied "hamza" ... ahhhhhh I became scared to ping him or dial his number! I quickly called his friend Sammy who confirmed it telling me he was knocked down by a car... I was short of words and scared out of my skin...!! I started having flashes of how we met and how good our friendship was and all the convos we had had :( ... I was scared to think about him too much cos I felt it would mean he was really gone...! That's why I came here,to create this blog and to make sure that my first post is about him so I'll never forget him... Hamza Eneye Maleek popularly known as "Hayche" everybody has something good to say about u... Even if ur gone,u remain in our lives, our thoughts and our prayers... May God shower his mercies on u as u lay to rest till we meet again... Until then PEACE
